has just under 1400 sf. Cherry wood floors, stone surfaces and a wall of windows. There is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an extra den area for home office or 3rd bedroom. Just listed this week and we have more! We get the list about 10 days prior to MLS submission so let me know if you are looking for anything specific.
2. Balboa Park
We love going over to Balboa Park for a walk through the tree lined paths. There are hundreds of various plants and trees and it's always a surprise when a plane buzzes right above your head so close you can see the passengers. There are 17 different museums and they have various exhibits that change with the seasons. Just park along the street and walk over the bridge to the exhibits. Stop by The Prado for lunch and don't forget to go by the water lily pond. There is a huge outdoor stage that features various free entertainment. This is truly a gem for downtown San Diego.
3. San Diego Zoo
The next day, you can visit one of the best zoos in the world. The San Diego Zoo has a new Australian Outback exhibit that features my favorites, the koalas. We like to take the zoo train and get off at the places we like the most. It is so big that you just can't see everything. It's actually part of Balboa Park.
4. Awesome Bike Riding
We like to ride over to the bay front and catch the ferry over to Coronado Island. You can rent bikes for $20 per day over on 6th Ave. and go from there. It doesn't cost additional to take your bike on the ferry and they leave every 45 minutes. Once you're over there, you can ride along the water on paved paths around the beautiful golf course. San Diego is constantly upgrading it's biking options and will have a full loop in effect in 2015.
5. Sailing Adventures
There are many options to enjoy our great bay. You can walk
down to the bay front and pretty much rent a boat at will. Depending on the size and time out they run $200 up. We managed to get some friends who belong to The Yacht Club and they take us sailing occasionally. We like to take the Hornblower Dinner Cruise because then we can drink and enjoy the sunset. I think the last time we went it was under $70 and that included drinks and dinner.
6. San Diego Padres
We used to have season tickets but now we buy them as we want. I like to go to the Omni Club at Petco Park. They have a wonderful buffet and you have a private table that views the game. This wonderful stadium is right in the heart of downtown and walkable from all areas. It is surrounded by condos some of which you can view the game from your living room!
7. Walkable Happy Hours
This is so fun. As long as you can start by 5 most of the places have awesome deals on food and drinks. We love to go to the new Headquarters and get wine tasting and pizza for $15. This is the old police station that has been rehabbed into restaurants and shops. They still have the old jail and holding cells. Our favorite Happy Hour is Las Hadas This centrally located place is not your usual Mexican food. Say hi to the owner Alan Gomez who is one of the nicest guys in town.
8. Summer Symphony Pops Concerts
This is one of our new favorites. We walk over to The Embarcadero. We get a table that seats 6 in the section where you get table service and invite friends. You can bring in your own food but we ordered a meat and cheese plate for $52 and it fed us all. We saw Boz Scaggs there and loved it. The venue under the stars and in close proximity to the entertainer is the best. Whoever is headlined is backed up by The Symphony. They end each show with fireworks!
