Downsizing in Downtown San Diego

1500 sf private outdoor deck at our Horizon Listing
The population in downtown San Diego is expected to grow by over 1 million in the next 30 years. Clean and Safe operates during the day (a security force specially for downtown)  Each high rise has it's own security force. We walk to shopping, dining, hair salons and medical.  We walk to Amtrak and take a leisurely ride to visit our son in Santa Barbara anytime.  I just sold a great condo at Pacific Gate with higher monthly fees. But included in this is sewer, water, gas, concierge services and high end pool, spa and fitness.  Along with this the building provides you use of a fleet of luxury vehicles so no need to have your own!  Oh, did I mention the use of a 20 person yacht!
Forbes magazine 2016 list of fastest growing cities includes downtown San Diego.  The near perfect weather as well as the walkability and entertainment venues make Downtown San Diego one of the best places for retirement.  There is a second generation of Baby Boomers downsizing and preparing for simplified urban living.  We have been living downtown for over 11 years now and love it.  The number one thing is the security.  You can go out at any time and everything is well lighted and active.  There are no alleys in Downtown San Diego and
Retiring in Downtown San Diego you will need to give up 2 story large square footage living and private outdoor grass areas but it's a price that adds time and value to your retirement life.
