The Masters

You listening to the early returns on the Masters?...the course is wet, and yup, very long due to the rains...the weather is supposed to cooperate from here on out...as I am writing, there are only 5 blokes under par...and Tiger is even...steven...which apparently is good, for today...hate that the video doesn't start till noon...this is my fav of the year of all golfing events...

The Padres got a closer from the Rangers, giving up the Sheriff, who was dangled most everywhere...as the season starts TODAY...as Arizona...facing Madbum...Yu is going for us...the headline in the Trib, 'Optimism Pessimism'...guess that is a firm I dunno...could be good, could be bad...listen kids, it's all about the pitching...

The Putin War...this is as  bad and mismanaged as it could be...something tells me they are not as powerful as one may think...which, is a terrific thing for the World...the Kremlin should do their thang and drop the guy....a one way trip to Siberia...

It's a fact that the LaLa Lakers have missed the playoffs...gonna tip one or two, for the celebration...combustible for sure...expect the coach to go first...then a series of drops and or trades...my GM cap is now on...would trade the Brow, Westbrook, and Melo...or simply drop them...the Brow is the most over-rated 'star' of the decade....brittle...Westbrook is way past his prime...as is Melo...hey, for the right price, LeBron could go, too...it is a MESS!...

Kentucky...saddled with the 2 foos Senators, bitchy Mitch, and the incorrigible Rand Paul...have a democratic Guv, Andy Beshear...who just vetoed the bill banning transgender athletes from girls' sports...just figure the elite politicians from that state are throwing daggers at one another...

We have been busy, as the amigos, the Morrisses are in the hood...so the Horse is hit and miss...publishing the blog...be patient...

Ms. Jackson's vote for getting on the SCOTUS is today...the blokes, Mitch and Rand, will try in vain to block her...expect positive results for the lady...

Somehow, I hurt my right elbow...had to be golfing...but, I don't recall when...never had this before...weird...put the goop on it...and still...huuuurrrttsss....

Got a call from the son....said to go to Masters.com and get the live stream of Tiger...so, am gonna get this done and do so....

A Whip?

I don't think I have seen such a disgusting sight, as the border patrol in Texas
...use a WHIP to move the people at the border...what century are we in?...how is this allowed?...anywhere?...as I have said much too often, we the people, apparently, do not take life as precious as we should...is this a directive from somebody?...what gives?...damn...

A whip in the Congress?...you know what I am talking about?...what a beaut of a job...responsible for a party to get the rest of the dudes and dudettes in line...follow us, as I say...well, as the whip says...imagine being the whip for trump's clan...oops, bad choice of words...

Today we have the Boz...and a breakfast at the beach, and then...the awesome convertible tour of the city via Beetlejuice...rest up, then head on over to Humphreys...sounds like fun?...yes, it shall be...

The Gabby thing is a mystery...at the mercy of the public, to what level of concern this is...trying to find the fiance...and if the body found in Wyoming is indeed her...

We tried, we really did...but the new DWTS is too much...they fired the hosts and put a real bad replacement in...can't do it...we turned it off, for the Voice... to listen to the banter of Blake Shelton, a real funny feller...

Yes, we have decided to extend our arrangement for another year, embarking on number 48...

BTW, we had a huge Jeopardy contest last eve...the Horse won round one, decidedly and then...retired as champ forever...the others kept going, claiming victory...but, here is the deal...they miss as many as they get right...thus, ZERO!...Horse wins...very smart strategy, of course...

The once mighty Padres are home tonight with a set with them Giants...lots of grumbling here in the land of beauty...who goes?...listen AJ, might as well bring up McKenzie Gore, he can't be as bad as the others you have stuck us with...

Songs for the day?...both by Boz...my fav is 'Rainy Night in Georgia' and Snooki's 'Jo Jo'....

Wasn't there a song out there about a whip?...whipping it?...who was that?...'Whip It' by Devo...just some awful lyrics...

Whipped cream...whipped eggs...whiplash...whippet, the dawg...WHIP in beisbol (walks and hits per inning pitched)...

Feelin' Groovy

Saturday is one that very few people can complain about
...unless you are a worker bee on the day...for most, it is a day of salvation...uh, some say that is Sunday...not moi... it always has been SATURDAY!...sports, TV, relaxation, and selfish things galore...perhaps wassies, hot cakes, hash browns, and whatever...time to make them...now that we are in football season, the lads at a college site for GameDay (they are in Happy Valley, PSU)...always an enjoyable start...yes, it is the start of school...all schools...

The Ducks host Stony Brook...I know the bigs have breathers, but c'mon UO...Vegas won't even lay odds on it ( just saw -40.5)...but yes, if we were in town, we probably would be going to it...the college atmosphere is 2nd to none...other games of interest...FresnO St at UCLA, where the odds are +11!...take the points, kids...Nebraska at Oklahoma...if the pattern continues, this could be the last game for the Husker's coach...Purdue at Notre Dame, where the big Boilermaker drum has been banned from ND...watch out for an upset here...Utah at SDSU up in LA, where there was an earthquake yesterday...Auburn at Penn St...probably the best match up of the day...

The Padres lost game 1 in Saint Looey, who they are chasing for the last wild card slot...8-2...had their chances...BUT, when down but 4-2...trotted out the Adams guy to pitch...gave up 3 wham bam, and we were out...this dude is the one that leads the world in hitbatsmen, at 23... and can't get anyone out...why he is still in the bigs, is beyond me...for this reason alone, I would fire the Mgr and the GM immediately...

Today is the day...where law enforcement people are hating Saturday at the Capitol in DC...where the forevers are gathering again...police say they are ready for them...we shall see, with fingers crossed...

Snooki laid 'Lowdown' on us...Boz at his best...we are really looking forward to the concert, on Tuesday...class class class...

Have you heard of the Antarctic Ozone Hole?...now greater than the continent...oh my...Antarctica...who came with up with that spelling?...why is it Ant-arctic?...are there ants on the arctic?...course, they are seemingly everywhere...

Gabby is missing, now her fiancé is missing, too...ah, well, it is looking mighty suspicious at this time...

My crypto has been wallowing about at $325...up a little, down a little, but dang it all...time for it to take off...upward...

Just got an email that when we go see Sara Evans next month...you MUST have proof of being totally inoculated with the Covid 19 vaccines...OR, take a negative test within 72 hours of the concert...signs of things to come...

Happiness is getting a video call from our son, with the grandson...

I just saw a suit that KK wore at the Met Ball, and realized that anyone could be in it...don't get me wrong, but did she get the idea from a Burkha?...

The mighty Carnac sees a visit to the nursery today....ah, the flower one...

On the road again...

We call it Cosmo...our RV...the class B version...a bit longer than a van...er, like a Lexus...perhaps, more like an Escalade...you know what I am talking...there are them A's and C's...big hunkers, that are needing more space to maneuver...this one, even Marsh can handle...on our way to see our kids and their kid...

Am reading that the mighty Padres, who were also on the road...but, due to the air quality of their destination, Seattle...the games were switched to San Diego...where it be mostly clear...the Mariners are the 'host'...funny...er, odd...that these 2 teams share the same spot in the Cactus League...in Zona...

In the place we are docked for the nite, in Long Beach...we get cable TV, but NOT CBS, so we didn't get to watch our fix of Big Brother...shhh, don't tell me what happened...

But, did get to see the Joe Biden thang...gosh, it is hard to compare him to trump...who is so belligerent and demeaning to all of mankind...Joe is civil and full of class...

Sure looks like the Pac 12 is gonna cave in like the Big 12 (14)...play football in October...what might the Mountain West do?...if they play, SDSU is going to host their games up in LA...as they are constructing a new stadium where Qualcomm...was...

In the NFL, the Pats are playing in Seattle...no switching of sites...?...football blokes must be tougher than beisbol ones...must breath differently?...

I gave Snooki the week off...so, the song of the day is...'On The Road Again' by Willie...er, Nelson...cuz of like...duh...

Back to schools...why not go internet only...for now?...it's a no brainer...right, trump thinks otherwise...speaking of no br______....stop it Horse...

Blue states and red states?...are we talking another Civil War?...c'mon, trump...cut this crap out...

From the 'can't make this stuff up' files...trump told his revival peeps in Mosinee (Wn) last nite...that since he became Prez, he has lost all his friends...c'mon, Orange, you still have Ivanka, Jr, and Erik...oh yea, and Jared...that's all you had...

Am I more cynical while traveling?...

3.2% San Diego Price Increases for 2018

No one can predict the future but The California Association of Realtors says that Growth is Expected in 2018 but challenges remain. California home sales had a decent year in 2017 with sales edging out 2016 by 1.4 percent. The housing market continued to be supported by solid fundamentals as the economy continued to improve. While the demand side of the housing market remains upbeat, the supply side continues to be tight, resulting in more upward pressure on home prices. The statewide median price has been increasing steadily on a year-over-year basis throughout last year, pushing the 2017 annual median price to $537,860, a 6.9 percent increase from the prior year. With the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and a possible economic stimulus on infrastructure spending in 2018, the economy is expected to grow moderately this year. The labor market, despite showing some signs of fatigue, should remain solid and will elevate consumer spending to a higher level for the rest of the year. The supply shortage in the labor market, nevertheless, will continue to have a negative effect on job growth. As such, job gains will continue to moderate as the economy operates near the full employment level. Wage growth, on the other hand, should gain more traction this year and will lead to acceleration in inflation in 2018.

With the economy expected to grow at a faster pace and the labor market remaining solid, housing demand should stay strong in 2018. The question is where the supply will be coming from. This issue will not be resolved overnight and the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) expects a tight supply condition this year, as the demographic shift, the effect of tax reform, and concerns over property taxes/capital gains tax liability continue to prevent homeowners from listing their properties. The likelihood of multiple interest rate hikes and the widely anticpated increase in inflation will also play a role and could slow down the home sales momentum as well. As such, C.A.R. projects that existing home sales in California will only increase by 0.3 percent in 2018.
Home prices are also expected to increase, as the imbalance between supply and demand continues to exert upward pressure on prices. Housing affordability will be negatively impacted as a result, and could be a force to counterbalance the price appreciation created by the market competition. The tug of war between the two forces will elevate the statewide median home price to a higher level, but will keep price appreciations under control. C.A.R. predicts that the statewide median home price will be up a moderate 3.2 percent in 2018. While the housing market in California is not expected to have a robust year in both sales and price in 2018, it should continue to have a decent performance this year.
