The Big Green Wave in East Village

Plans have finally been approved for a $400 million high-rise in East Village.  The Ritz-Carlton Hotel
project will change the downtown San Diego skyline again.  One building will be 39 stories and the other 19 stories.  Located on a full city block bounded by Market Street, Island, Seventh and Eighth is will contain the 4-star hotel as well as various businesses and rentals.  A 6000 square foot public plaza, 3 rooftop terraces and a 5 story glass atrium make this project very exciting.  Whole Foods will be the anchor store.  The Big Green Wave which is a large vine and topiary will be surrounded by benches, cafe tables and chairs.  If you need a reason to invest in East Village, here it is.
