There is no better place to grow old than Downtown San Diego. Everything is so accessible.  You can arrange for things from a massage to transportation quickly and easily.  Many of the buildings provide 24 hour concierge service that can help with deliveries, calling a cab, walking your dog and pointing you in the right direction for services you may need.  www.grubhub.com allows you to order from many of the restaurants in 92101 for home delivery.  www.schwans.com is also a resource for ordering meals online delivered.  They have all kinds of plans with low delivery fees. And Ralphs Grocery is centrally located for a pop in.

 619-231-2442  .  There are doctors and dentists close by also.   We have been using Uber.  It is a great app for the phone that charts where the car is in real time.  You pay upfront and and there is no tipping. My office is 5 blocks away and there's the awesome new library located over by Petco ballpark.
Walkability is the key factor for the aging population.  Access to things brings independence and enables people stay in their own homes longer.
