2015 Predications for San Diego Housing

San Diego's housing market should see gains and increased demand in 2015 according to economists next to zero percent chance of seeing prices decline.  Interest rates are also expected to rise about .5%.
Trulia economists predict that San Diego is in the top 10 US cities to watch for price increases with annual gains of 4 percent next year.  Demand is outpacing supply.  San Diego is in the sweet spot without the risk that prices are overvalued therefore cutting the risk to investors.

What is propelling this upward trend?  Demand will increase as the millennial generation, of 19-to-35 year olds, continues to get older and move toward starting a family.  They will be moving out of their parent's homes and many will rent.  There is only about 2 months of inventory to meet this demand--half of what the economists say is needed in this area.
